about

This track was recorded almost exactly a year ago (Mar 29, 2021). I had forgotten all about it. The main purpose in writing it was to try out some weird time signatures and polyrhythms on the Korg DDD-1 drum box I had recently bought. The Korg holds down the tambourine. I have no clue what the other instruments are. I really should start writing this stuff down.

about

80 lb. Test Raleigh, North Carolina

Based in Raleigh, NC, 80 lb.Test is the solo synth project of Doug Llewellyn.

80 lb.Test uses a variety of hardware synths, controllers, and virtual synths to create anything from lush, ambient washes to frenetic pulsing sequences, to meandering sonic doodles.
Mostly based on loosely structured songs, Doug will often stray into uncharted territory, veering close to the musical ditch.
